The series of events were aimed to raise the awareness and understanding of Data Science, an extension of Cloudera’s awareness efforts throughout the year.
What is key to these activities is that they are developed and put together with the open source mindset, true to Cloudera’s roots. It brought together government bodies, industry partners – local and global, Big Data and Open Source Communities.
Amongst the activities hosted included Big Data Indonesia Community Summit, Cloudera Sessions, Cloudera CMO Roundtable, Cloudera Government Forum – Australia and Strata Data Singapore.
Next week, we are extending our momentum by launching our second annual “Cloudera APAC North Data Science Week.” It will see a string of activities – with possibly the largest Cloudera Sessions in Seoul, Cloudera CIO Forum Seoul, The RISE Conference in Hong Kong, Cloudera BASE Initiative launch in Taiwan, Cloudera Greater China Partner Summit and Strata Data Conference Beijing.
With this, Cloudera will again be collaborating with government bodies, global and local partners, tertiary education institutions – led by Dr. Amr Awadallah, co-founder and CTO of Cloudera; Mick Hollison, CMO of Cloudera; Doug Cutting, Chief Architect of Cloudera; George Ling, VP of Cloudera Greater China; Mark Micallef, VP of Cloudera APJ, Steve Totman, Cloudera’s Financial industry lead and many others.
All working towards raising the awareness of advanced analytics as well as going the whole journey of developing data professionals for the country.
We believe that Cloudera can make what is impossible today, possible tomorrow – through collaborating with our partners, customers and the community.
